Why are these shoes so cool?
I wore these (blue lowcuts) when I was in High School. This was late 70s early 80s. And they were cool long before that.
I bought a pair of black lowcuts a couple of years ago and took a whack of heat from one of my then High School age boys. He thought that they were pretty old fashioned looking and laid some “Dad’s an old fogey” stuff on me.
Then, one of his friends got a look at them and put two-and-two (I saw these in some recent MTY TooMuchMusic video) stuff together and the next thing I know, I never saw the shoes again. The kid wore them out and was the most coolly shoed kid in his class.
And another thing … I’m a pretty unfashion concious (fashion uncoucious?) guy. I wear regular jeans and regular shirts. But, I’m always a little fussy about my sneakers.

I figured I will join the world of blogging.
This is my first post and hasn’t been thought out at all. I don’t know whether or not this blog will be some kind of free form rant and rave against anything from the government to people who don’t use their turn signals, or a well researched power-to-the-people kind of thing.
I will definitely express my pissed-offedness at the government ripoffs that we Canadians face every day. I will try and point out the cool things that everyday people do that tend to go unnoticed. There will be many mentions about good music and music that sucks really hard like modern country and rap!
Please comment – correcting my spelling and grammer and stuff. I really love that.
Oh ya. I hate the CBC. Not so much the radio, although it’s really left wing and terribly hard to stomach some time, but CBC TV and all those awful, biased, expensive, boring dramas that they show over and over every week.
