And – that’s what this kid has been doing a lot of.
A friend of mine (who’s a WAY better player than me) was down in LA (not Lake Ainsley) a while back. He reports that talent like this can be found in every music store and on every street corner. That’s crazy. Just crazy.
I guess it’s one thing to play a song and another thing to have written it.
Also — strats clearly rock!
aches and pains January 31, 2006

I’m not sure about the “cold and then heat” treatment for different injuries. I used to be into marshall arts pretty big and used ice exclusively for my aches and pains. I could never figure out which injuries required heat. What are heating pads for exactly?
One of the problems that I always had with making my own ice packs, was that they weren’t very moldable. If your ankle is sore all the way round, a bag full of ice has a difficult time making good contact points with the majority of the curved surface. Anyway, lifehacker has a good post about making your own ice pack.
My previous injuries seem to be returning as arthritic echoes, so I’ll be trying this recipe at the next flare up. Hopefully, not until next winter.

commupance January 22, 2006

I, like Homer Simpson, love commupance.
I’m not Bush fan, but I loved the fact that socialist Michael Moore got some cummupance after the last US election. It seems that Moore couldn’t keep his chins out of our election:
Do you want to help George Bush by turning Canada into his latest conquest? Is that how you want millions of us down here to see you from now on? The next notch in the cowboy belt? C’mon, where’s your Canadian pride? I mean, if you’re going to reduce Canada to a cheap download of Bush & Co., then at least don’t surrender so easily. Can’t you wait until he threatens to bomb Regina? Make him work for it, for Pete’s sake.
Tomorrow, Michael Moore can have some gravy on his commupance. A heapin’ helpin’ servin’ of commupance.

Wow! It works great. Try it out for yourself.

Except for mentioning that I won’t refer to them, I won’t even comment on the refs.
They’re back at it again in Ottawa tomorrow night.

Somehow Kim Jong-il is not number one.
How does this Dick Tator does not get to be number one with a bullet?
And, PMPM is not even on the list.

Apparantly, the thermite reaction is irrevercible.
I like the fact that these guys are wearing white lab jackets while they’re doing what all of us would be doing in jeans and tee shirts if only we could find some damn thermite.
My kingdom for a flower pot of thermite!

OK. Maybe the CBC’s not the only main stream media organization to try their best to shill for the most corrupt government in the history of Canada.
These guys do some heavy lifting too.
Oh well, tomorrow’s (especially the day after) another day.
