commupance January 22, 2006

I, like Homer Simpson, love commupance.
I’m not Bush fan, but I loved the fact that socialist Michael Moore got some cummupance after the last US election. It seems that Moore couldn’t keep his chins out of our election:
Do you want to help George Bush by turning Canada into his latest conquest? Is that how you want millions of us down here to see you from now on? The next notch in the cowboy belt? C’mon, where’s your Canadian pride? I mean, if you’re going to reduce Canada to a cheap download of Bush & Co., then at least don’t surrender so easily. Can’t you wait until he threatens to bomb Regina? Make him work for it, for Pete’s sake.
Tomorrow, Michael Moore can have some gravy on his commupance. A heapin’ helpin’ servin’ of commupance.

Except for mentioning that I won’t refer to them, I won’t even comment on the refs.
They’re back at it again in Ottawa tomorrow night.

Somehow Kim Jong-il is not number one.
How does this Dick Tator does not get to be number one with a bullet?
And, PMPM is not even on the list.

Apparantly, the thermite reaction is irrevercible.
I like the fact that these guys are wearing white lab jackets while they’re doing what all of us would be doing in jeans and tee shirts if only we could find some damn thermite.
My kingdom for a flower pot of thermite!

OK. Maybe the CBC’s not the only main stream media organization to try their best to shill for the most corrupt government in the history of Canada.
These guys do some heavy lifting too.
Oh well, tomorrow’s (especially the day after) another day.

Soul, R&B, R&R legend Wilson Pickett died of a heart attack in Virginia on Thursday. He was 64.
His life could have been a movie. A preacher’s grandson, Wilson was youngest of 11 children who were raised by an abusive mother. He started out in gospel music (accompanying Sam Cooke) and eventually joined doo-wop groups before going solo and recording at the legendary Stax studios with Booker T and the MGs.
Many feel that his music inspired the movie The Commitments. His biggest hits, Mustang Sally and In the Midnight Hour were featured prominently in the movie as well as the soundtrack.
Wilson Pickett was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

Three more sleeps until the federal election.
You’re not supposed to campaign on election day.
Does this mean that the CBC will be off the air for the full 24 hours? Or, will they merely refrain from “reporting” on the election?
